Summary/Abstract: Taking into account the socio-pedagogical situation of a specific educational institution, the applied research methodology helped to identify three types of educational strategies: strategies that help the development of the child's personality, strategies that promote the child's learning process, and strategies that support play as the main activity of the child, the possibilities of application, which have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the education of preschool children. The aim of the study is to investigate the application of educational strategies in a Lithuanian preschool educational institution. The study found that the application of educational strategies that support the development of a child's personality reveals three main directions of the educator's activity: promoting creativity and exploration, developing communication and cooperation and forming self-regulation and independence; educational strategies that promote the child's learning process are focused on strengthening independence, holistic education, and creating connections between experiences. The application of educational strategies that support play as the main activity of a child is assessed as an essential part of children's learning and personality development, because play is integrated into the educational process as a means of knowing, communicating, creating, and discovering. The challenges experienced by educators in applying educational strategies are related to the complexity of children with special educational needs, the diversity of children's ages and abilities, as well as the practical and emotional aspects of pedagogical work.
