THE ROLE OF AUTHENTIC ARTISTIC EXPERIENCE IN THE PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION OF MUSIC STUDENTS

Summary/Abstract: The professional training of future musicians requires the development of competencies that extend beyond the scope of traditional educational activities and involve direct participation in authentic artistic practice. In this context, collaboration between higher education institutions and professional music institutions provides a valuable educational framework that contributes to the gradual integration of students into the professional artistic environment. This study examines the educational impact of involving music students from the Faculty of Arts, University of Oradea, in artistic projects carried out in partnership with the Oradea State Philharmonic. The research is based on a case study, complemented by participant observation and a questionnaire administered to students involved in these artistic activities. The findings indicate that authentic artistic experience contributes significantly to the development of interpretative competencies, strengthens students confidence in their own artistic and professional abilities, and supports the construction of their professional identity as future musicians. Furthermore, the study argues for the need to develop sustainable partnerships between universities and professional music institutions, highlighting the role of authentic artistic experience as an effective pedagogical tool in the process of professional training.
