Summary/Abstract: The comparative analysis of the three interpretations highlights the way in which each violinist approaches the famous Ballad for violin and orchestra by Ciprian Porumbescu: from the classical and lyrical approach, passing through deep folkloric accents, to a modern variant, marked by a strong and emotionally charged nostalgia. From an interpretative point of view, all three violinists possess a rigorous, extremely expressive technique, focused on the purity of sound. This highlights the romantic structure of the piece, highlighting the simplicity and elegance of the composition. The analyzed virtuosos oscillate harmonies between the rigor of classical music and the authenticity of popular music. This interpretative bivalence facilitates a faithful rendering of the moral traits, values and identity of the Romanian people, giving the lyrical passages that intonation specific to states of longing and mourning, essential for the spirit of the works. Although the interpretive approaches differ, each interpretative variant being individualized, it preserves the emotional core of the piece intact, demonstrating the universal and constant character of the masterpiece, generating an immediate emotional impact, transforming the piece into a true declaration of patriotism and intense feeling.
