The E-Crisis of Values among Teenagers as a Challenge for Contemporary Moral Education

Summary/Abstract: Contemporary teenagers are growing up in a world of dynamic development of digital technologies, which influence the formation of their value system and moral attitudes. This article attempts to describe the phenomenon of the e-crisis of values. It manifests itself, among other things, in the relativisation of moral norms, the superficialisation of interpersonal relationships, dependence on opinions in social media, and difficulty in distinguishing between good and evil. This situation hinders the development of an integral moral identity in young people. The enormous prevalence of the internet, functioning in an instant culture, and the pressure of digital self-presentation disrupt the process of moral maturation and weaken authentic contact with oneself and with other people.The article will also discuss the key challenges facing contemporary moral education. A new approach to axiological education that takes into account the realities of the digital world is of great importance. Greater involvement of teachers, parents and educators as guides in shaping the moral identity of young people also plays an important role. The main objective of the article is to highlight the problem of the decline of moral values among contemporary young people in the digital reality and to identify the key challenges that this situation poses for modern moral education. Współcześni nastolatkowie dorastają w świecie dynamicznego rozwoju technologii cyfrowych, które wpływają na kształtowanie ich systemu wartości i postaw moralnych.Artykuł podejmuje próbę opisania zjawiska e-kryzysu wartości. Objawia się ono m.in. relatywizmem norm moralnych, spłyceniem relacji międzyludzkich, uzależnieniem od opinii w mediach społecznościowych oraz trudnością w rozróżnianiu dobra i zła.Taka sytuacja utrudnia rozwój integralnej tożsamości moralnej młodzieży. Ogromna powszechność internetu, funkcjonowanie w kulturze instant oraz presja cyfrowej autoprezentacji zakłócają proces dojrzewania moralnego i osłabiają autentyczny kontakt z samym sobą oraz z innymi ludźmi.W artykule zostaną omówione również kluczowe wyzwania, przed którymi stoi współczesne wychowanie moralne. Istotne znaczenie ma nowe podejście do edukacji aksjologicznej oraz uwzględnia realia świata cyfrowego. Ważną rolę odgrywa również większe zaangażowanie nauczycieli, rodziców i wychowawców jako przewodników w kształtowaniu tożsamości moralnej młodzieży.Głównym celem artykułu jest ukazanie problemu zaniku wartości moralnych wśród współczesnej młodzieży w cyfrowej rzeczywistości oraz wskazanie kluczowych wyzwań, jakie ta sytuacja stawia przed nowoczesnym wychowaniem moralnym.
