Summary/Abstract: This study analyses the interpretative possibilities of synthetic poetry using the example of the poetry collection Výsledky vzniku ([Outcomes of origin] 2020, Drewo a srd), published under the name of the neural network Liza Gennart. It builds on the concepts of surface integrity and literary meta-reading, which enable the generated text to be read both as a poetic artefact and as the product of an algorithmic process. Through an analysis of selected poems, chosen to represent different sections of the collection as well as distinct types of semantic organisation, the study highlights the tension between semantic coherence at the level of the verse and semantic instability at the macro-structural level. Several texts in the collection can be described in terms of a recurring compositional-semantic tendency that moves from an initial lyrical evocation, through the argumentative and associative development of the initial keyword, to a final looping or loosening of semantic connections. The study refines existing concepts of a poetics of defect, incoherence and reduction by incorporating a compositional perspective, while paying particular attention to the methodological implications of Zuzana Husárová’s editorial intervention in the algorithmic outputs.
