Summary/Abstract: The cultural memory of authors is an element that can be articulated through different memorialisation strategies. One of them is literary spatialisation, which consists of inscribing the memory of authors in urban space. This spatialisation is performed by means of different mechanisms such as including their names in street maps or placing commemorative monuments in the public space. The figure of Rosalía de Castro has given rise to a series of memory practices in Portuguese space, two of which will be examined in this article. The first of these practices is the naming of a street in Lisbon in her honour, and the second one is the construction of a monument of her in the city of Porto. Both case studies will allow us not only to analyse the public management of the literary memory of Rosalía de Castro in urban space, but also how this management affects her memory.
