Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the significant transformations in acting within postdramatic theater, emphasizing the shift from a text- and character-centered paradigm to one that foregrounds presence, physicality, and autonomous scenic composition. Drawing on Hans-Thies Lehmann’s theoretical framework, this study demonstrates how contemporary theater prioritizes fragmented discourse, interdisciplinarity, and the performative experience, as opposed to traditional modes of classical narration. Within this framework, the actor is reconceptualized not merely as an interpreter but as a co-author and originator of scenic material, actively shaping meaning through embodied performance. Consequently, theatrical pedagogy must evolve to incorporate methodologies that foster autonomy, improvisational skills, and heightened corporeal awareness. While classical traditions remain relevant, they are recontextualized and supplemented by emergent practices. Postdramatic theater thus redefines both the status of the actor and their training, promoting adaptability and receptivity to innovative artistic paradigms.
