The Portrait: Positive and Negative versions

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to explore and examine positive and negative portraiture, and presents the artworks created by second-year Bachelor’s degree students from the Painting specializations of the Faculties of Fine Arts in Timișoara and Iași, which has already been exhibited in April in Timișoara within the framework of an institutional collaboration. It will also analyze the relationship between the chromatic ranges of the two versions, understood as a complementary and necessary visual tension that contributes to the coherence of the work as a whole.
