Summary/Abstract: The paper investigates how the aesthetics of the comic, through its fundamental elements—humor, laughter, and parody—are manifested within both universal and Romanian piano literature, with emphasis on specific musical language devices that generate expressive effects conferring a comic character to piano works. The study examines piano miniatures with suggestive titles and thematic content, tracing aesthetic trends and stylistic developments in Western art music. The analysis integrates technical parameters (rhythm, melody, harmony, dynamics), audience reception, and pedagogical perspectives in piano performance, ultimately proposing conclusions regarding the artistic and educational significance of humorous music.
