Regional diversity of competitiveness potential of Polish farms after the accession to the European Union

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to assess the regional diversity of competitiveness potential of Polish farms based on productivity and financial indicators. Ward’s method of cluster analysis was used in order to examine the similarity of competitiveness potential in different regions. The differences among the groups of producers distinguished on the basis of economic size and type of farming were also taken into account, as well as competitiveness potential changes that occurred during 2004-2009 period.
