Summary/Abstract: The emergence of ideologies represents a natural evolution of societies that inherited Greco-Roman culture and belong to the Judaic and Christian religions. In the Christian space, the Greco-Roman cultural heritage left deep traces in the cultural and mental plane. The collapse of the Roman Empire and the emergence of feudal states led to the emergence of a new political system; feudalism. For almost a millennium and a half, feudalism represented the political and social model of organizing societies. However, within this rigid system, divided into "states" and with a rigid subordination at the social, religious and political levels, ideas emerged, which later crystallized into cultural currents, which promoted reformist visions. The result of this fertile pool of ideas and conceptions about the world and life was the Reformation, Humanism and the Enlightenment. It took time and the maturation of economic and social conditions for feudalism to collapse in the face of new realities. Ideologies have entered the stage of history and have been shaping humanity for almost two and a half centuries.
