Summary/Abstract: For over half a century, the ideas about how society should be governed have aligned themselves within two ideological blocs: the Western liberal-democratic, and the collectivist communist bloc, in the Eastern world. After the fall of communism, humanity experienced the illusion of the definitive victory of liberal democracy, but after a very short time it found that it was facing a huge ideological tornado, as a result of which blunt fragments of political radicalism and axiological relativism remain. These have generated the decrease in the relevance of the left-right cleavage, the erosion of trust in representative democracy, the rise of illiberalism, the recrudescence of tribalism and xenophobia, etc. All the components of this new ideological disorder have been seriously impacted by the appearance on the American political scene of the character Donald Trump and a pseudo-doctrine called MAGA. Promoting a Manichaean spirit seasoned with nationalism, anti-progressism, anti-ecology and the „anti-system” emblem, Trumpism banishes temperance and dialogue from the ideological space, introducing atavistic tendencies specific to the axiological disorder of the 1930s.
