Summary/Abstract: The present article brings to attention some autograph notes made by Metropolitan Dosoftei of Moldavia (1671−1674; 1675−1686) on two printed books: the Bible, 1688, and the “Lives and Deeds of Saints”, 1682, both kept in the patrimony of the Putna Monastery. The notes are mainly translations of bible verses, moralizing commentary, semantic clarifications of certain terms, and historical notes. They all prove that the two printed books belonged to Metropolitan Dosoftei, adding commemorative value to their documentary significance.
