Summary/Abstract: In medical study programmes, histology may be treated as a separate subject or integrated into teaching. The integrated curriculum has become an important educational strategy and has been adopted in many schools all over the world. Within a medical curriculum various teaching methods can be applied. The aim of this study was to present contemporary trends and pragmatic solutions, such as computer-assisted instruction and problem-based learning, in selected countries throughout the world.
