Summary/Abstract: This article examines the polyphonic dimensions identified within legislative drafting, specifically the Algerian law governing associations. The primary objective is to analyze the distinct polyphonic features inherent in legislative discourse. While such discourse typically appears monological upon reception, our research addresses the initial assumption that these texts lack discursive polyphony because they originate from a single legislative authority. By applying Bakhtin’s theoretical framework on discursive polyphony, we look past this superficial uniformity to uncover the hidden polyphonic markers within our corpus of Algerian associational laws. Our analysis reveals that legal enunciation inherently integrates and counterposes multiple voices and perspectives. Ultimately, this study demonstrates that legislative texts orchestrate complex polyphonic mechanisms and plural voices, including those of the judiciary, the administration, and other institutional entities.
