Summary/Abstract: This study examines the literary reflection of the historical context of the 16th and 17th centuries with a particular focus on its impact on European education and literature. A significant portion of literary production during this period was spiritual literature, which played a crucial role in disseminating religious awareness and the shaping of collective identity. Biblical texts, particularly the Psalms, became prototexts of spiritual poetry, providing a stable ideological and formal foundation for further artistic creation. This study specifically explores the paraphrases of Psalms in the works of Vavrinec Benedikt Nedožerský, with Psalm 79 serving as the focal text of the analysis, reflecting the contemporary social situation. Through comparative and interpretative analysis, the research investigates how biblical models influenced the structure and ideological content of literary texts from this period.
