Summary/Abstract: Through this paper, we propose to make an x-ray of the evolution of the economic relations between Romania and China in the last 23 years. China has become a significant investor in Romania, getting involved in infrastructure projects, construction, energy and other fields. Thus, partnerships and joint ventures were established between Romanian and Chinese companies. China has become a significant investor in various sectors of the Romanian economy. Chinese investments in Romania have mainly focused on infrastructure, energy, technology and industry. This often involved collaboration between companies from the two countries to exploit business opportunities in the local or international market. Chinese investments in Romania have brought both benefits and challenges. On the one hand, these investments contributed to the development of infrastructure and the creation of jobs, but on the other hand, they raised some concerns related to Chinese surveillance and control over some strategic sectors of the Romanian economy.
