Un document necunoscut despre Ion Valjan: Despina Valjan, Amintiri despre tatăl meu
An unknown document on Ion Valjan: Despina Valjan, Amintiri despre tatăl meu (Recollections on my father)

Summary/Abstract: The centenary celebration of the County Library of Braila, in 1981, coincided with the celebration of 100 years from the birth of the dramatist and lawyer Ion Valjan. It was the first and the only event that celebrated Ion Valjan as his writings had been, for decades, forbidden from publishing by the communist regime. Despina Valjan, the dramatist’s youngest daughter, attended the centennial event and shared with the audience various recollections about her father. A handwritten document by Despina Valjan, referring to the event, was preserved for decades in the ”Panait Istrati” Library’s archives not being known by the public.
