Summary/Abstract: The musicological approach of sheet music is necessary and useful to both practitioners and theoreticians. While, in the case of theoreticians, the formal, harmonic, polyphonic and stylistic analysis are the final objectives of the research, for the performer, this information is especially useful in the elaboration of the interpretive conception. Composer G. F. Telemann's 4 concertos for 4 violins are in a way unique, because the 4 violins are found both in the role of the soloist and that of the accompanist. The brilliant imagination of German composer G. F. Telemann makes these musical gems fascinating for the auditorium even today. In this study, I carried out a structural, harmonic, polyphonic and stylistic analysis of the cycle's first concerto.
