Summary/Abstract: The work aims to present two of the homage works that the Romanian composers G. Enescu and S. Toduță, in their turn, celebrated in this year 2021, made in memory of their composition teachers. The work dedicated to Gabriel Fauré by G Enescu, composed in 1922, is based on the melogram that forms the name of his composition teacher and represents a pious homage "worked in sound watermarks", with subtle and nostalgic iridescences. The Three Symphonic Sketches were composed by S. Toduță as a work to complete his composition studies under the guidance of his master, Marțian Negrea. It also represents a synthesis of the composition principles “received as a gift” from his teacher, principles that shaped his creative path in consolidating a neoclassical style, impregnated with modal essences, extracted from the Romanian folklore that he capitalized on with the same passion as and his illustrious predecessor G. Enescu.
