Summary/Abstract: A purpose of mediation is to strengthening community justice. Another aspect or function of mediation is certainly the access to justice for people who find it otherwise difficult to make their claims before court (the poor, low value claims etc.). Finally the privatization of justice is headed as another function of mediation. This means that the judiciary should be (at least to a certain extend) taken by individual citizens on their own responsibility.
