Summary/Abstract: The integrity of the electoral process is a fundamental element for the democratic functioning of any state, and in the context of the 2025 parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, this aspect takes on particular importance. Parliamentary elections not only determine the composition of the legislature, but also directly influence the political, economic and social direction of the country for the coming years. In this context, electoral integrity refers to the observance of the principles of transparency, fairness, equal opportunities and legality throughout the electoral process, from the registration stage of electoral competitors to the counting and validation of votes. Ensuring a fair electoral process involves both the responsibility of state institutions and the active involvement of civil society, independent observers and the media. An essential aspect of integrity is the prevention of electoral fraud, such as manipulation of electoral lists, vote buying or illegal influence of voters. At the same time, the transparency of electoral campaign financing plays a crucial role, as financial resources used in a non-transparent manner can affect the balance of political competition. In the digital age, the integrity of the electoral process is increasingly influenced by the online environment. Disinformation, propaganda and cyber-attacks can affect the perception of voters and distort the public space for debate. For this reason, strengthening cyber-security and promoting media literacy become important priorities. Electoral institutions in the Republic of Moldova have the responsibility to ensure a clear legislative framework and to implement effective mechanisms for monitoring and sanctioning any violations. At the same time, cooperation with international organizations and external observers contributes to increasing trust in the electoral process. The integrity of the 2025 parliamentary elections is essential for consolidating democracy in the Republic of Moldova. A fair and transparent electoral process not only reflects the real will of citizens, but also strengthens public trust in state institutions and democratic principles. The integrity of the electoral process is a fundamental element for the democratic functioning of any state; and in the context of the 2025 parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova; this aspect takes on particular importance.
