Summary/Abstract: In April 2026, several legislative acts were published in the Official Gazette of Romania; those legislative acts comprised, inter alia: The Official List of Notaries Public for 2026; ECHR Judgment dated 15 December 2025 in D. versus Romania; Law no. 53/2026 on preventing and combating femicide and the violence preceding it and also amending and supplementing certain legislative acts; Government Emergency Ordinance (GEO) no. 24/2026 on the temporary reduction of excise duties on diesel and instituting a solidarity contribution onto revenues derived from the sale of crude oil and energy products obtained from domestic crude oil processing and also amending and supplementing GEO no. 19/2026 on declaring the crisis situation on the crude oil and/or petroleum products market, namely petrol and diesel, and on establishing measures to protect the economy and the population for the duration of the crisis situation, while also amending GEO no. 12/2026 on measures applicable to household consumers in the natural gas market between 1 April 2026 and 31 March 2027; Order of the Minister of Justice no. 778/C/2026 on the approval of specific requirements and procedures for establishment and payment of the salary increase for additional work performed by prison guards, and also for specific activities of an operative or unforeseen nature in respect of which this right is awarded; GEO no. 32/2026 on foreigners’ access on the Romanian labour market and for amending and supplementing certain legislative acts.
