Summary/Abstract: Purpose: As indicated by various sources, a total of fifteen logicians are known to have been active within the geographical boundaries of contemporary Spain during the period spanning from the 10th to 13th centuries. However, the logic texts of seven of them have survived to the present day. The present study aims to reveal a thematic understanding of Andalusian logic based on the works of logicians whose texts have survived to the present day. The themes that have been identified include the core problems of classical logic, which can be expressed as a narrowed organon: concept, proposition, syllogism, and the philosophy of logic as a preparation for them. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the intellectual structure of the Andalusian civilization, it is important to reveal the logical thought of this period, which is an integral part of its philosophy and science, in terms of the history of thought. Method: In this study, an attempt was made to reveal the general approach of Andalusian logic was tried to be revealed by using first-hand works with the document review technique within the framework of the mentioned problems. The views of some logicians who exhibit an attitude contrary to tradition on problematic points, based on the understanding that the particular as well as the general has an intrinsic value, are also included. The data obtained with this method were evaluated as the study’s findings. Findings: This two-dimensional investigation enabled the discernment of both the general structure of Andalusian logic and the special and different aspects within this structure. It is evident that a particular understanding of logic, rooted in philosophical works of Aristotle and al-Fārābī, was embraced in Andalusia. This phenomenon is evident in the treatment of categories, the theory of the five universals, various problems of propositions and the understanding of syllogism. However, it has also been determined that some logicians have developed ideas that differ from tradition, especially on issues such as the contrapositive relation of the proposition, inversion and conditional propositions. Conclusion: To date, studies on Andalusian logic to date have predominantly concentrated on a specific philosopher or a particular subject. While there exist studies that examine Andalusian logic in its totality, these have been of introductory in nature, concentrating on the lives and works of logicians as opposed to demonstrating a thematic approach. In this context, the present study endeavors to address an academic need by presenting a thematic Andalusian logic and, accordingly, enabling the determination of an Andalusian logical characteristic.
