Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the Kolping associative model, as developed and adapted in Romania, with a focus on its contribution to the development of civil society through voluntary association, democratic education and training, as well as network-based organization. In the context of post-communist transformations, the Kolping model provided a practical framework for cooperation, mutual aid, and civic responsibility, and was situated at the intersection of Church and society. The article argues the specificity of the Romanian character of the model lies in its multicultural dimension, its capacity to generate social capital, and its consistent orientation toward the common good. From the methodological point of view, the research is qualitative and interdisciplinary, based on the analysis of institutional documents, specialized literature, and the historical and organizational evolution of the Kolping network in Romania. The main conclusion is that the Kolping model can be understood as an emerging form of associative network development, relevant to the study of democratization, civic education, and the strengthening of civil society in transitional contexts.
