THE IMPACT OF IRAN-ISRAEL-U.S. TENSIONS IN THE MIDDLE EAST ON TURKEY’S LOGISTICS SECTOR

Summary/Abstract: A significant portion of global trade is carried out through international logistics networks. Therefore, geopolitical risks and regional conflicts are among the main factors that directly affect trade routes and supply chains. In recent years, rising tensions between Iran and Israel, along with the military and political presence of the United States in the region, have further increased the geopolitical importance of the Middle East. These tensions impact not only security dynamics but also the functioning of global trade and logistics. This study examines the effects of tensions along the Iran–Israel–US axis on the global logistics system and their reflections on Türkiye’s logistics sector. The research employs a combination of literature review and secondary data analysis; energy prices, trade data, and logistics indicators are evaluated. The findings indicate that geopolitical tensions increase energy and transportation costs. On the other hand, Türkiye’s geographical location strengthens its potential to emerge as an alternative logistics corridor
