Summary/Abstract: The present study analyses nine copies of the first Romanian translation of the New Testament, published in Alba Iulia (Bălgrad) in 1648, from the perspective of book circulation. The scrutinized volumes belong to the ”Lucian Blaga” Central University Library from Cluj-Napoca and were previously described in a catalogue of the collection of old Romanian books owned by the mentioned institution. However, several ownership notes and other marginalia were missed by this (otherwise) valuable bibliographic work, while some of the annotations were edited only in part or with various errors. Consequently, my paper intends to amend such shortcomings, by offering a new edition of all ownership notes and other manuscript records of book circulation, as well as a thorough analysis of their contents. Although gathered from a small amount of copies, this corpus of manuscript annotations provides a rich and varied sampling, revealing at a small scale what can be considered as major features and trends of the diffusion and circulation of this monumental literary and religious Romanian work.
