Summary/Abstract: Heritage collections enrich at a rapid pace, amassing pieces of different types and values. An incunabulum acquired through Központi Antikvárium Budapest recently reached the collections preserved in the warehouses of the National Museum of Unification Alba Iulia. The volume is a copy of the work of Pelbartus de Temeswar, Sermones Quadragesimales pomerii..., printed in Hagenau in 1499 by Heinrich Gran for the prominent editor Johann Rynman. The book is in good condition, being complete. The handwritten annotation preserved on the title page attests to the circulation of the volume in the area of the Netherlands, where was part of the library of Venray monastery. Two copies of this work are in Romania, preserved in the Batthyaneum Library in Alba Iulia (branch of the National Library of Romania) and the National Brukenthal Museum Sibiu. Thus, the volume acquired by the museum from Alba Iulia adds to the other 80 known worldwide, enriching the heritage of the institution and opening the way for creation of an incunabulum collection.
