Summary/Abstract: Observing the text as a constitutive form of culture, and the weaving of the narrative as a kind of performance of recoding history through the dialectic of memory - remembrance - trauma, the work raises the question of the mutuality of identity structuring and the mentioned mnemonic acts. The work is based on memory as a central part of individual identity (Nora), which allows the characters a form of departure from the legacy of wars, the authority of the government, but also violent social structures. Of course, patterns of countermemory (Kuljić, Boym, Jambrešić Kirin) will not always offer identity consolidation, but they will bring awareness to the social structures of the past and sometimes rehabilitate the community with their own choices (Fati-Kaduna).
