Summary/Abstract: Digitalization and modern communication technologies have significantly transformed organizational communication, knowledge management, and human resource development. In a knowledge-based economy, these technologies play a key role in improving access to education and supporting continuous learning.The aim of this paper is to examine the role of digital technologies as drivers of investment in employee education and training. The empirical research was conducted in the Republic of Serbia in January 2026 on a sample of 100 organizations, while investment trends were analyzed for the period 2015–2025.The results indicate a positive trend in organizational investment in human resources, particularly in additional training programs. Economic and career-related factors were identified as the main motivations for employees’ further education.The study highlights the strategic importance of digital technologies in enhancing employee competencies and supporting sustainable organizational development.
