Summary/Abstract: The article presents the extraordinary career of a Lithuanian nobleman from the Kaunas district, Andrzej Skorulski, who, alongside his patron - Mikołaj Krzysztof Radziwiłł "the Orphan" - was not only his most important client but also a faithful friend with whom the magnate consulted on all the most important matters. Skorulski also became the main administrator of Radziwiłł's estates because of, inter alia, the very similar views held by the patron and his client, especially religious ones, which influenced the pious (Catholic) foundations they made. Their close relationship was cemented by their joint pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1582-1584.
