Summary/Abstract: This article shows the categories of allegations that Queen Marie Louise Gonzaga faced while undertaking political activity. They concerned her foreign origin, promotion of French (foreign) culture, her gender and allegations against her co-workers. There were also many ordinary slanders on the part of the opponents of John II Casimir Vasa's wife. The fluctuation of arguments used against her in different periods of the reign will be analysed (obviously in consideration of political situation in Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth). Ruthless discrediting of Marie Louise Gonzaga's political activity was presented by the collection of political papers, scathing poem or rhymes directed against her.
