Summary/Abstract: The protection of personal data represents one of the most serious social and legal problems ofthe twenty-first century. As the digital transformation of society progresses, the pace oftechnological innovation significantly outpaces the capabilities of regulatory and technicalprotection mechanisms. This analysis demonstrates that the privacy challenges posed by Fourth Industrial Revolutiontechnologies are not isolated incidents, but rather challenges arising from the deep convergence ofthese technological trends. Digital surveillance has transformed from an ad-hoc event into apermanent, multi-layered process where data collected by the Internet of Things is processed byartificial intelligence, stored in cloud computing, and quantum technologies threaten tocompromise the very foundations of digital security. The complications are not only in the volumeof information collected, but in the way it is processed, the decisions that are made based on it, andthe legal paradoxes that arise. The avalanche-like collection and processing of personal data callsinto question the effectiveness of existing modern protection mechanisms. This article aims to identify and systematize current issues facing personal data protection, focusing on the technological convergence of the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, and quantum power. Analysis of the specific mechanisms by whicheach of these technologies threatens or modifies traditional approaches to data protection.
