Summary/Abstract: One important stage of the Unification Era, or the Decade of Unification (1856–1866), was the activity of the consultative ad-hoc Divan/Assembly in Iași, which consistently formulated and supported the “wishes” of Moldavia regarding the national, political, social, economic, institutional, and cultural future of this Romanian Principality (September–December 1857, Old Style Calendar). The Moldavian consultative ad-hoc Assembly was composed of deputies elected from each Romanian district north of the Milcov River. One of these deputies was the doctor and postelnic (honorific title of court marshal/seneschal) Constantin (Costachi) Vârnav, a deputy representing Dorohoi County (urban citizens from the town of Dorohoi). By applying the two documents I developed (the parliamentary job description and the individual parliamentary activity record) to the activities of Constantin (Costachi) Vârnav in the ad-hoc Divan/Assembly in Iași, I have compiled the third document: his daily parliamentary activity register. His parliamentary activity had medium importance in the aggregate of the general activity of Moldavia’s consultative ad-hoc Divan/Assembly in Iași, from September to December 1857 (Old Style Calendar).
