Summary/Abstract: Although there is a lack of reliable data, there is at least some evidence that information and communication technologies can be an effective tool in the fight against corruption. The combination of modern technologies with real administrative reforms highlights the real potential of technological development in the context of the fight against corruption. Various studies show that modern information and communication technologies stimulate a number of anti-corruption reforms. Their use offers numerous opportunities for citizens to easily access public records, establish links between geographically separated systems, and thus work better accountability, which means it makes it possible to improve transparency at the transaction level.
