Summary/Abstract: On the one hand, the educator’s role in the 21st century is focused on the conventional parameters of the training activity, which include the presentation of material and the giving of instructions. On the other hand, the modern adult is increasingly puzzled by the complex and changing conditions of the work environment in the context of digitalization, which forces the trainer to accept the uncertainty and risks associated with change, struggling not only with his vulnerability but also with the trainees. In this sense, it is essential to identify the challenges and opportunities for adult educators in older adults’ learning in the context of digital transformation. The present study identified the modern requirements for adult educators in the Republic of Bulgaria regarding technological innovations. We identified the contextual factors that change the adult learning process and provided recommendations for how educators and learners can address the challenges posed by technology and generational characteristics.
