Summary/Abstract: This article explores the application of the biopsychosocial (BPS) model as a fundamental epistemological framework in modern clinical and counseling psychology. In contrast to the reductionist approach of the biomedical model, the BPS paradigm offers a multidisciplinary synthesis between biological determinants, psychological dynamics, and sociocultural factors. The benefits of this approach for increasing diagnostic precision and optimizing integrative case formulation are analyzed through the presentation of a detailed practical case study.
