Summary/Abstract: The author of the article considers the role of collective bargaining in improving the working conditions and pay of self‑employed persons, presenting this issue from a broad perspective that takes into account international, EU, and Polish law. He raises the question of the possibility of effectively introducing minimum protection standards for this category of workers through collective bargaining agreements or other collective agreements. The aim of the article is to critically assess the legal situation in Poland in this area, which does not allow for effective collective bargaining on the employment situation of self‑employed persons.
