The role of employee representatives in strengthening the application of the principle of equal pay in light of European Parliament and Council Directive (EU) 2023/970 of 10 May 2023 – challenges for Poland

Summary/Abstract: In this article, the Author analyzes how the directive on pay transparency can affect the remuneration principles applied by Polish employers. However, the author focuses only on one aspect of this impact, namely the role of employee representation. In this context, the Author points out the necessity of defining the concept of non‑union employee representation in Polish labor law. Then, the Author discusses the rights that the directive grants to this representation.
