Summary/Abstract: In recent decades, significant transformations have occurred in the social and economic structure of Slovakia, which have fundamentally influenced the educational system and the educational attainment levels of the population. The introduction of this study provides a brief overview of the Slovak censuses, followed by a presentation of Slovak demographic trends and topics preferred by the public and society, which are most commonly associated with censuses. In the second part of our paper, we examine the development of educational attainment levels based on census data post-transition, with particular attention to the educational disparities between different social groups, gender differences, and regional characteristics. Additionally, we address the educational trends of national minorities and the educational indicators of groups affiliated with religious denominations.
