Summary/Abstract: Pupils with mild intellectual disabilities (F70) were previously only allowed to study in a special education institution, with a different curriculum. Nowadays, thanks to co-education, they can also study together with the majority children. In our research, we examined the evolution of the number of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities in primary schools by county and district between the school years 2017/2018 and 2022/2023. The data were requested from the Education Department and analysed using Microsoft Excel. MapInfo was used for the map representation. The results show that, with the exception of the counties of Heves, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Nógrád, segregated education predominates and that the number of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities is decreasing.
