Summary/Abstract: The study seeks to answer the question of what characterizes the schools employing Roma teachers and whether the presence of these teachers is an additional resource in the life of schools. We analyzed the linked database of sites, schools and pupils (6th grade) of the OKM 2019 (N = 99615). We identified pupils (7.7%) of schools with Roma teachers. Linear regression, cross tabulation analysis and mean comparison were applied.   Sites with a Roma teacher face greater challenges but are also more likely to be in the resilient type. A group of schools with a Roma teacher has higher yields of parental involvement (reaching a narrower group of parents) in discipline. However, the correlation may be reversed depending on the proportion of Roma pupils.
