Summary/Abstract: In The Desanka Maksimović Endowment, in the legacy of the poetess, 192 unpublished and hitherto unknown poems are preserved including those dedicated to friends, both living and deceased, in which she evokes memories of them and events from their shared past. The paper presents a poem dedicated to parting with Ida Radvoljina, who was exiled with her children from Yugoslavia in 1950, as the wife of the late revolutionary accused of espionage in favor of the USSR. There is also a poem written not long after Isidora Sekulić’s death, in which Desanka Maksimović poetically outlines the multi-layered character of her older friend and co-worker.
