Summary/Abstract: Currently, according to WHO reports, Romania ranks third in Europe in terms of bullying in schools. Thus, considering the trends and consequences of bullying and cyberbullying phenomena in the Romanian educational environment, Romania is positioned as a state with a high rate of school victimization at European level. Basically, despite the anti-bullying legislation, which defines and prohibits psychological violence, implementation at the level of schools faces significant challenges. In this regard, recent sociological research indicates an increased prevalence, in the sense that almost half of the students declare themselves victims of traditional bullying, the phenomenon being exacerbated by the digital environment, through cyberbullying. Through this study, we aim to identify the causes and the most important consequences of bullying, as well as the role of school, family and close friends in detecting and intervening early on this serious phenomenon in the lives of victims. Trying to identify the trends and consequences of bullying in Romania, we want this study to be an alarm signal, appreciating it as necessary and of great value for social and institutional actors in the educational and academic environment, for parents and for the community, at the same time.
