An analysis of the usage of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for conducting terrorist activities

Summary/Abstract: During the previous couple of decades, terrorist and insurgent organizations have vigorously started to conduct their acts of aggression using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), also known as “drones”. This trend is mainly constituted by the rapid development of those vehicles and the continuously increasing availability of various relatively cheap and reliable drones. A fact that allows the abovementioned groups to successfully protract their violence by exploiting air power and dominance – a capability, which was previously mostly inaccessible for them. The aim of the following paper is to analyze the main tasks which those systems are put upon in order to achieve the terrorist’s goals
