RESEARCH AND CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION OF ROMANIAN ART THEFT

Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to analyze the key aspects concerning the theft of Romanian art. The main idea lies in the importance of combating and investigating theft-related crimes that occur both in Romania and abroad. Within this study, I will refer to the ways in which thefts of art objects originating from Romania are carried out, presenting several case studies involving the theft of Romanian art pieces. Through this paper, I seek to raise awareness of theft cases that have had a significant impact on the image of the Romanian cultural heritage, as well as to provide a brief analysis of the events that have led to the emergence of criminal activity targeting items of cultural value.
