Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the use of deepfake technology as a form of artistic forgery, as well as the mechanisms behind the generation of such false images through artificial intelligence. Deepfakes can have various legal or illegal implications, depending on the intent of their creator. The paper will present the main illicit activities carried out through this type of falsified art and the legal implications of these actions at both national and international levels, issues that will also be highlighted in the analyzed cases.
