Summary/Abstract: The paper outlines the role of information and communication technology in educational management within the knowledge-based economy and society. There is also a comparative approach of using information and communication technology in European schools, taking into consideration the number of computers, the internet access, the use of computers and Internet in classrooms etc. In the end of this paper are presented some actions to develop lifelong learning based of information and communication technology.
