Summary/Abstract: This article examines radio as a dual medium of cultural communication that simultaneously promotes and archives performing arts. The study analyzes the transformation of artistic forms within the audio environment and highlights the role of radio in shaping cultural memory through the creation of audio archives. Particular attention is paid to the institutional and technological factors influencing the production, dissemination, and preservation of radio content, as well as to the impact of digitalization on archival practices. The research also identifies a gap in the Georgian scholarly context, where radio is predominantly studied from institutional perspectives rather than cultural ones.
