Summary/Abstract: The birth of art represents the creation of the artist who sums up the connections of different personal states and inner emotions at a broader and different level from which the art object appears in the outside world. These states and emotional connections are the special natural elements of humans and from here derives the value of art objects. The trade in art objects is supported by the national and European legislation in force and by two national non-profit organizations called the Union of Plastic Artists and the Association of Art Dealers in Romania. Broadly speaking, two categories of art trade are distinguished. This is divided into primary trade where in this segment art is traded directly from the artist or purchased from an intermediary who represents the artist and secondary trade where art is purchased from an owner (collector) who owns previously purchased art objects. The two segments are mainly divided between art galleries, auction houses and other art dealers.
